Coming home from a noggin yesterday evening thought I'd better put the headlights on with the low sun.

Seems I have main beam on both dip and main switch positions. Doubt that it's an earth fault - lights are full brilliance.

I will pull the multiway plug tonight (if I get time - preparing for Prescott weekend) to check the switch connections on each position. Though it's an easy solution to the problem, I hope it's not the switch, as these must be getting pretty rare by now?

Cheers,

Used to have one of those in the first Land Rover Dave - hated it, didn't work correctly half the time, neither did its replacement!
More room in the footwell of a Landie too! grin2

Problem now sorted - switch not at fault. I (possibly the mechanic?) reconnected a wire to the wrong switch connector. Posted the results on MT, where most traffic on this issue passed. Though, if I did it, it must have been done before the last MoT - so how did it pass the test?

Anyway, all sorted, the extra wire will go to a spare switch, ready for an old Lucas rear fog lamp to be fitted.

Cheers,
