Thank you to members for endorsing the approach we are taking with my father’s car. I filmed it in action yesterday evening and will edit and post to Youtube tonight.

What an insane machine! I did take it for a spin myself, closely tutored by a MTW club member and friend of dad's, but the thought that there is an open gate to reverse (where third would be on a 'normal' car) which can be soooo easily selected at speed just proved too much for my heart. I hope the sound on the video will do the exhaust note justice...it's such an emotive sound, something close to a Gatling gun being fired close to your head!

I've managed to reduce the file appropriately and submit my pathetic attempt in the photos section getcoat

As promised, for those interested here's a few minutes of the car in action last Wednesday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkO5feJ4dKA

It will be posted on Ebay on the 9th August with the reserve set at £25,000.

Jason, a lovely looking Morgan 3-Wheeler, with an even nicer story attached to it. Best of luck with the sale.

Thoroughly enjoyed the "Youtube" extract which adds to the interesting story.

What the video fails to portray to its loss, is the smell which accompanies the drive; a delicate mix of petrol, castor oil, leather and old Band Aids….ahhh that sweet Morgan perfume!

Nice to see it running Jason, a lovely and it appears well-sorted 3-wheeler. flag flag

With over 9,000 hits for the video, it augurs well for the eBay auction. Hope it goes well. thumbs

Jason

I found the following info from a recent auction in Herefordshire

"Morgan restoration projects also proved popular with the very large crowd of mostly pre-war motor car enthusiasts. A 1938 MX 2 Super Sports three-wheeler in restored, though component form was much contested until taken on for £28,285, and an abandoned and poorly stored for 12 years 1958 Plus 4 4-Seater Sports with TR4 engine was rescued for £12,535."

So its looks like you might get a fair amount of interest. I've looked behind the sofa and unfortunately I didn't find enough to make you an offer wink

Good Luck

John
