Thanks John, We have had the chairman of the Three Wheeler Club around a few weeks ago to see the car. He new dad well and came to advise on how best to dispose of it and what reserve to set at auction.

Interest does seem to be stirring for these vintage 'pocket rockets'. That said advertising on Ebay I'm reliably informed will be certain to draw attention from the diehard enthusiasthttp://www.talkmorgan.com/images/icons/default/wink.gif, the collectorhttp://www.talkmorgan.com/images/icons/default/smirk.gif, the time wasterhttp://www.talkmorgan.com/images/icons/default/cool.gif and the criminally insanehttp://www.talkmorgan.com/images/icons/default/cry.gif. It is going to be an emotional and interesting week to come!

It is done! Dad's trike + various JAP parts and automobilia will be listed on Ebay today at 9am. Again may I thank the founding fathers of this fantastic site, its been an excellent resource and focus for whipping up interest in the trike. I've posted on various forums around the globe these last weeks and nothing comes close to Talkmorgan for usability and professional finish.

Once the three wheeler is out of the way, I'll properly introduce the small consolation to this sorry business (a mint 1975 +8 with 29,000 on clock) and happily debate whether its wrong for me to want to plaster it in racing stickers, throw the bumpers away, tear off the windscreen, fit side-exit exhausts and tune it so flames jet out on the over-run!

Our pleasure.

As for the Plus 8, it is your car now and one of the great things about Morgan is that they can be personalised to suit the owners use and style.

I look forward to seeing some photos of it.

Now a request to all the TM members. grin2

If by chance it happens to be someone on here who ends up with the trike, please, please, please can I blag a ride in the passenger seat. woohoo

The rest of you need to from an orderly queue.

Well done, nothing can replace a lost father but if someone was happy to pay this for it I would expect they are going to take a great deal of care of it in the future.

With auto-bidder you have to set a limit - Mr.Last-Minute will have simply bid above the limit.

Glad the sale went so well.

It is finished.....the winner of the trike has an impressive collection of three wheeler classic cars (Messerschmitt KR175, Heinkel bubble car) and wanted to fill the collection with a vintage Morgan. A great home for dad's trike. Look out for BLM 630 in the next few months rumbling through the streets of North London!
