OK I'm a bit chavvy but I lust after some go faster stripes to liven up the F type. Question is hat colour and I would ppreciate some guidance / suggestions.

The car itself is a dark navy blue metallic. Its actually a bit lighter than it seems on the only photo that I have

Is that because the F type lacks character?

Fit an electric antenna with a foxtail on top!
No need for speed stripes than.

White on blue looks OK - but I think Le Mans stripes on a Jag are not going to do it any favours:

It is easy to make assumptions, but some of the upgrades are remarkable.
One lad had a Mk. 1 Astra with a 2.5 litre turbo charged Vauxhall V6 engine fitted.
The engineering of the whole car was superb and it was finished to concours standard.

OK; not to my taste, but the lad was a real enthusiast.

Neil is right here , white stripes on dark blue will look best, but play around with images and a photo editing programme for a long time before deciding, as I too am a tad unsure about the effect they will create. Not sure about any other combinations with that shade of blue.

If you want to respray the car , then do it white with blue strips (just slightly offset from centre) like the 1950 Cunninghams (forerunners of the Corvettes which now are pretty much the safe bet for GT class wins at Le Mans) but I am guessing that is not really a viable option.
