my luggage rack from Librands arrived yesterday and a fine piece of kit it is too but before I fit it using the wordy instructions (no diagrams or pictures), I wonder has anybody had experience of fitting one?

I'm especially interested as to how the lower cross member fits to the two spare wheel support brackets

The instructions say 'lay on the brackets' indicating ontop but because of the slope of the rear valance it would be impossible to drill from above so I'm wondering if it is better fixed from underneath?

Don’t think it will win any prizes for looks and I don’t intend keeping it on all the time but as a sturdy rack for a case or Ralph’s wheelchair, it looks the business

Plus it’s shiny shades

Stupid me!

I’ve just looked again on the Mog where I’m supposed to fix the crossbar on top of the spare wheel supports and there is a big cut out on the rear valance for the spare wheel so drilling down is easy peasy

doh

I feel a bit of a plonker as I sent an email to Librands asking for clarification
