Well remembered Paul F. They often have a one way traffic system in place on the A15 between Lincoln and RAF Scampton when the County Show is on, it can be very slow.

X-country route probably via Melton Mowbray / Sleaford / Woodhall Spa is my most likely route.

Whichever route I use, departing Prescott some time after 16:30 I'm going to get stuck in traffic somewhere so it might be sensible to stay further south past Rutland Water before turning north...

3+ hour journey (except on a quiet Sunday!).

Yes, I'm not going to be able to leave until 15:00 on Wednesday. Google maps is giving pretty much any route as being 4:20 to 5:30 at that time of day, so it's unlikely I'll get to the hotel before 20:00.

Better book another table for 20:30 Tim (last food orders 20:45).
Either that or find somewhere along the way. I'll have had a decent lunch, so not desperate for dinner - a couple of ales after arrival would be good though smile
Going straight from Prescott I'll not be in the Morgan.

Google Maps is showing 4:25 by the Motorway and 5:35 going up the Fosse way from Salisbury.
The route will depend on the car and that depends on the weather.

If it is like today, Wednesday 13th then it is a Mog run but if it is cold and wet then the Merc will do duty. At the moment the BBC prediction favours the Morgan!

The Coupe has just spat it's dummy out. The hose from the Autobox to the cooler has started leaking so pending the fix happening quickly it's not coming.

S2 coming out for a practice run tomorrow.
