Whilst in Pembrey Country Park this morning two planes were using the nearby bombing range. Extremely noisy so def not stealth!
Looked like F22Raptors.
Several circuits made at both lower level dives and higher level passes.
Some tight turns done and nice vapour trails off the wingtips.
They left headed East, unlike RAF who either head N to Valley or Over mid Wales(Hawks) or South if Tornados.
Just after lunch we were in Ferryside and heard a big boom from Pendine testing area with a big smoke plume seen over the base.
Pembrey is fairly busy these days. Last summer my mate’s son landed the new Hercules on the beach as part of tests. I missed seeing it.

That’s interesting. A couple of planes came over us low and fast, very close together a few weeks ago. I thought they looked like Raptors but dismissed it as I didn’t think we had them in the uk yet.

Hi Phil was watching them from the garden, thought they were Tornadoes could only see one tail fin, but you where a lot closer than me. Also a second pair came in from the East as the first two left. The second pair departed North. On Tuesday an a A 400 came over quite low and very noisy. Also heading north.

There's a load of aircraft visiting for the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford this weekend so there will be plenty of "unusual" aircraft flying around.

Yes, lots of noisy aeroplanes around my way at present!
I expect there will be something from BBMF overfly Prescott during the weekend smile
