Yep!

Kin, I bought a Charger/Conditioner at Halfords - can look out the model number if you want. I believe it cost me 39.99 and it works a treat!

ps - you should be ashamed for not driving that beauty for 2 weeks! somestick winky

I've left my car for well over 4 weeks without any battery problems before?

I did however notice yesterday that as I switched off the engine, the heated front screen light (and thus maybe the screen?) stayed on!

Need to investigate further as I got out in a rush and had my 2 year old dropped on my lap for the 'trip' up the drive.

PS gosh it poured yesterday!

Like you BTG I have not had battery problems, I must confess I do not lock my car when it is garaged so perhaps less is drained from my battery as I assume the immobiliser is not active.

Maybe those that have the problem should drive their cars more often after all they are cars and not ornaments.

I have just remembered there is a battery isolator under the bonnet so it may help to use that if a car is to be parked up, only down side the windows on S2 and I think S3 lose their memory and have to be reset which is easy to do.

I am not a great believer in battery conditioners as driving your car is the best way to keep it in good health, I have also heard of dreadful fires etc being caused by faults in battery conditioners.

In under 2 months, my Aero has already done 2700mles, at this rate, I could easily beat Aeroman's mileage shocked2, so I don't think anybody could accuse me of not using my Aero...
( Although, I really don't expect to do anywhere near as much mileage over the winter months)

The reason why I didn't use it in the past 10/12 days is the weather up here had been abysmal gloomy

Back on topic, the removal of igntion key should immediately activate the immobiliser regardless of whether the doors are locked or not, i really do expect a brand new battery should last at least 4-5 wks...
The only explaination that i could think of is that my car has a tracker fitted which obviously consume power, and I'm always seem to be cleaning my leather interior which means the interior lights were on whilst I was cleaning it confused2

I was thinking more of owners of 3 or 4 year old cars with 3000 miles on the clock

Sorry, Michael, I didn't realised you're refering to Simon somestick laugh2

I quiet agree with your statement regarding 3/4 yr old cars with minimal mileage, my thought are that certain components could deteriorate more or even seized such as calipers, piston rings, water pump, bearings etc etc. due to infrequent use, I could be wrong...

Cearealsurfer could probably able to answer the downfall of such low mileage car(if there's any confused2)

BTW checked yesterday and confirm that on my car the heated screen light stays ON even when engine off and key removed!

Are the newer cars the same?

This has got to be a battery killer if your not careful
