Where do you fix the Morgan when you use a trailer? I want to transport my 4/4 secure but not to damage the morgan. So for example the wire wheels are very problematic. If you have pictures to show me your solution it would help me a lot!

I have no pictures but when my Sport had to be recovered they put a belt over each wheel around the tyre circumference anchored at both ends and tensioned down with a ratchet device to the trailer bed pick up points. There was no direct connection to the car at all just the 4 wheels around the tyres.

That seems the usual method these days.

Exactly as Rich said, provided you know what you are doing and have some good strong straps, no harm should come to the car. I have had loads of cars delivered and removed that way and all seems to be o.k.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

Thank you all! I have the same strops as ewn shows in his link!
My strops have an extra strop in the middle (from outside to the inner side of the tire). This extra strop seems to be the problem when I use them. It prevents the other strops to sit low enough.
I'll try the version as shown in the link above!

“Back in the day” on channel airbridge & British Air Ferries on the ATL 98 Carvair aeroplane the cars we’re tied down with chains onto the wheels only almost exactly as in the picture. One Carvair crashed by hitting a snow bank whilst landing in Rotterdam. The fusalage rolled, but the cars were quite “happy” hanging upside down. (Pretty secure then)

Two small details - both from experience. 1) Morgan tyre pressures tend to be on the low side when correctly set - worth taking into account when tying down in this way. 2) Stop after a few miles and check the straps - they can appear tight at the outset but then movement of the car on the trailer makes them loosen.
