Does anyone know the original source of the steering column fitted to 80's Plus 8s?

I've read indications that this was a late MGB item and whilst they do look very similar, I need to get confirmation that they are indeed the same item.

I need one!
Thanks
Mike

Thanks Simon, I know he does. Just wanted to know if it's the same as an MGB item.

I am using a MGB steering column. I like it because it fits and has turn signals etc. This on My +8 Bitsa.
