About 7/8 years ago a car stopped at my drive while I was washing the Mog. Driver called over...
“Electric”. Converted it myself.”
I turned as he then left.
It was a Renault 4!
Just a slight motor whine.
I never saw it again.

Really like that , dread to think what it cost to convert . The attention to detail is fantastic .

Re merging old and new, I have just re-read Gregory Houston Bowden's book on the Morgan written in 1973 (purchased at the NEC last Friday) and see that Peter Morgan is cited as 'not ignoring the possibility that his firm may one day produce an electric car'. It appears that he thought that, should the appropriate electric motor be made available, he would be quite open to the idea of using it should the general appearance of the car be preserved. Interesting that that statement was made 45 years ago well in advance of the recent prototype.

There's an all electric MGF out there, built by an engineer with a shed.
It's featured in magazines and performs well by all accounts.

If you've got a spare £100k - £150k lying around, Jaguar special products division will build you an electric E Type
