Me and my (in a few days) new Morgan... It's a long story. In the late 1980ies my wife and me visit the factory. The plan: let' s save money and than let's buy such a car. As in many stories there was a lot to do... Until the summer three years ago. Visit Brands Hatch Morgan an ask for hire a Morgan. But I get a real cold! So no testdrive done.
This year my wife means: let's hire a Morgan! Done. A lot of realy good miles!
And ordered a brand new +4, looking forward to connect "EM" the next time the plan is travelling arround britian, get the first service and shows "EM" a great tour in its new home. The plan is to do about 1.000 Miles. Prepared by "BHM" and after reading David Willing great book I think it would be a great journey. With a brand new MOG must I have an eye on special things? Regards René

Hi, Rene'
Welcome!
A new Plus 4: what a joy.
When do you plan to do your 1000 miles? What to do depends very much on when you are here.

Hello Peter, I think it's not too far.
If you see a sports green +4 with export registration, may be that's I am ;-)

Why not try to include a club event like a scenic run on your UK tour? These are run
By various uk motor clubs. Great fun, you get a flavour of the countryside, and some gentle cruising on specially chosen roads.

The plan is to do the journey in this november. About the route there is no plan.

Adventure? Oh my god - no. I think I've got a new and well prepared roadmachine - or is there something against it? ;-)

And: I'm prepared! Since two month every morning two toasts with Tiptree marmelade, for sweets Wilkens shortbread and in the evening one or two pints Forsters (okay, not real british...) About cars: since nearly 40 years I'm real in classic MINIs.

So has someone an idea about upcoming problems? ;-)

Looking forward for great fun

René

That sounds a slightly tough adventure , good job the plus 4 heater is excellent , are you aware that the UK can be a tad dark and rainy in November unless climate change turns up trumps and its dry and sunny ? Let us know you possible route so ant TMers in the area can meet up with you !
