Hi all.
I’ve been a member on here for a few weeks and thought it was about time I said hello.
In the last few months I became the proud owner of a wonderful Series 1 1939.
She has had extensive work done by George Proudfoot in the last ten years or so. There are a few bits and pieces still to do and that’s work in progress. No doubt I will be picking your brains shortly.
If I’ve got this right you should be able to see a couple of shots of the old girl

I do like those wheels. My series 1, owned when I was 18, had "dish" like wheels with large chrome discs. I find my current wires a right pain in the a...

Thank Rainbowj. I love the wheels. I had a bit of a problem getting the hubcaps to stay on as they would fly off very easily. I found a good way of keeping them on with a small drop of gorilla glue on each of the three lugs and a quick spray with water before popping the hubcaps on. The gorilla glue expands and locks the hubcaps on. However they can be easily prised off at any point.

Lovely car - and colour! Am envious of your location too. When my parents lived just north of Beverley we had many days out in their 4/4 over the Wolds and up to the Moors. Mind you, it was the '70s so I guess the roads may have been a bit quieter then.

Cheers Rob. She will be having a few runs out to the Wolds and Dales next year.

Oh I like that - car, setting and suitcase. And very impressed that someone is out touring when most of us have taken a pause to let the season pass. Well done.

Thank you. However I think the season is just about over for me too. The weather is miserable and I have work to do on the car so now looks like the time.

Hi Granny, I'm a "newbie" too. What struck me is the number of Morgan owners in God's own county!! Wave if you see a green +4

Thing is, you can drive all day and never leave Yorkshire, but its rare to see another Morgan.

We occasionally set off at stupid o'clock, like 5am and drive the scenic route up through Helmsley to Whitby. Breakfast via Whitby then home via Scarborough and Bridlington in time for a late lunch.

Or we wend across the Dales to Settle, and back via Pately Bridge.................................

Not in December though!!!

Although I will be out before Christmas, and on four occasions (I think) I've been out on Christmas Eve during the day, which is a lovely start to Christmas.
