Stewart, I see where you are coming from. I feel that the standing seams on the wings and along the centre of the car are what makes this an uncomfortable design to behold.

The Atlantic is an ugly duck compared to a Type 41 Royale, 12.7 litre straight 8, 3175kg. Seven were built, Ettore Bugatti wrecked one. I think this Coupe Napoleon is best, there are Berline, cabriolet & roadsters.
I saw one in the Schlumpf Collection in Mulhouse in a total of 120 Bugatti. Not sure if its true but spare engines were said to have gone into railway locos.

My favourite Bugatti is the Type 55 Roadster but why are they soooo expensive? One of my good friends has a Type 44 saloon and boy, for an old car it can really move.

Sadly a result of two factors:

1. Lots of other people agree with you
2. They only made 38 of them

Since we can't travel back in time and make more of them, the only answer is to start a world-wide movement to persuade everyone else that they are actually rubbish so that no-one will want one apart from you. Then you'll be able to buy them all at a knock-down price!
