Although still waiting for the car to arrive, I’ve booked Swmbo and I in for 3 days at the Silverstone Classic in July.

I know it’s not as prestigious as the Goodwood Revival* but using the MSCC arrangements makes this a really cheap event for 2 people, plus you get to display the car on the inner field .

We now need to arrange somewhere to park the motorhome so we can commute in in the Plus 4.

Anyone else going? (I guess there is!)

Anyone any good suggestions for campsite within maybe 15 miles ? There seem to be quite a few sites, but experience tells me the quality can be variable so recommendations can be invaluable. (We are in both the main camping clubs in case that changes any recommendations)

* and hopefully not as expensive - it was at the Revival I finally got the green light to get the Mog so ended up an expensive trip!

Some Morgan owning friends stayed in the campsite at Silverstone itself for the 2018 event and were very complimentary. Not sure of the details but I am seeing them on Tuesday and can ask then if you cannot find it online.

Whittlebury Hall normally have a caravan/camping site as well, can't find any prices out from their site as that page is just blank at the moment. We stayed in the caravan there for the British gran prix but that was very expensive as they park you all over the golf course as well. The good thing there is you walk straight in to the track from there but that's no good when you have to drive their in the car but is only about 3 miles away to drive. We stayed in the hotel last year and are staying there again this year but their good deals have all sold out now.

A number of owners camp in the Silverstone site and leave their Morgan’s on the MSCC stand for the duration of the event and walk to and from the camp site. Obviously this saves the hassle of any traffic delays getting in and out of the circuit.

Another vote for Silverstone site...I use my Brompton to get around the site...Silverstone is a huge site to cover and a bike is ideal to get round.

Thanks for all the ideas here guys. I’d not considered leaving the car on the stand and walking to and fro.

Might take a look at the Whittlebury Hall site.

Have found availability at a place called Hedhehogs Retreat at Lillingstone Dayrell that might be suitable. Does anyone know it?

Interesting @kevfitz re the Brommies - we have these too, another bit of great British engineering !
