I was lucky enough to see one of the Outlaws..

Absolutely beautiful ..but to see it at the side of a standard car is to understand the transformation.

Love shortened windscreens !!!

Thanks for sharing that - Lancia have produced some really fabulous designs over the years and that's up there with the best.

Since they have been subsumed they are now relegated to making people movers (badge engineering) which is sad with all that history behind them.

Had a Fulvia in the early 1970s . A very good mate had an illness that hit him every 7 year he almost left us at 21 . He reached 28 and it was so long mate . I took the Fulvia stuck it on the vicars drive in front of his garage . When a few mates and me came out of the church we jumped into the car and not a sound it had given up . We jumped into a taxi . When we returned . The Vicar was not a happy bunny as he could not use his car . The Lancia rotted away . But was great to drive when it worked and held corners very well . I was going out with a girl who had her own flat . I left her one very dark late night , as I went down the road a large cut grass field on my left and a row of houses on my right . They had those French windows with glass to the floor . I looked over at them and a women in her mid 20s was standing with black silk Frenchies and bra and long black hair . My mind took over and I ended up in the field on my left side seems I shot across the road and spun around several times in the field . Not long after the council changed them . SPOIL SPORTS .As for my late mate still think of him regular. drive

I also love Lancias but they did have a serious rust problem and I seem to remember that one model, if it rusted in a certain area, became irreparable. I think they then pulled out of this country.

Yes, I think it was the Beta that was their downfall in the U.K.

I seem to recall a BBC based witch hunt against the company that ended up with them having to buy back the cars (?) but whatever happened their reputation in the U.K. was beyond repair so they pulled out.

Such a shame given the wonderful cars they had produced in their history.

Lancias, beautiful, charismatic cars with a list of firsts behind them.
The Fulvia HF1600 was my favourite although I wouldn't say no to many of the others.
There is a B20 coupe for sale in a garage just down the road from us and the lines are just about perfect.

I love the style, perhaps that one is cut a little too low for me but very cool.

Yes the Beta did for them in the UK. I remember it well.

Dad was looking to buy probably his first brand new car and the list was a Citroen GS1220 or a Lancia Beta. He was a pilot and so liked the engineering in both.

The Beta then had the rust scandal and so Dad bought the Citroen. Within 18 months the rear wheel arches had rusted clean through!

You have to love their rear light design.

I know it's not Lancia but working on the "if you like this then you might like this" try this company for Alfa stuff. They have done some wonderful rebuilds. https://www.alfaholics.com/

A friend has a B20GT, a gorgeous car. I believe both Fangio and Mike Hawthorn owned one.
I had a Lancia HPE in the 1980s. Lovely car, but fragile. Crowning glory was shearing the brake pedal off the pedal box whilst driving in Bristol.
