In France...
The Yellow Vest group have disabled more than 60% of all Speed Cameras, say the French Ministry of Justice.

More here...

We should invite them here.

The change from 90 km/h to 80 km/h was a political mistake and never accepted.

Keep care of our speed cameras ! rofl

The French certainly know how to get what they want from the authorities.

This is what should happen every time those said "authorities" forget that they should represent the interests of the people as a whole and one way or another, whether elected or permanently employed, are paid by the people.

Perhaps unfortunately most of us "go with the flow", shrug our shoulders, and say nothing can be done. We have come a long way since the protest marches of the 60s, haven't we?

I have just thought of an upgrade for my idea of a direct voting app for smartphones/computers.

We follow a per decision voting system (vote yes on proposal X) with a range of how we support it from 1-10. We add an 11 option for those willing to get off their a*se and do something if it gets through and then we add them to a list of supporters. They get a tax credit if they perform the follow up.

This is in addition to the vote Labour/Liberal/Conservative/National Separatist/None-of-the-above vote button.
Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.
