Just under 5000 per annum compared with Ferraris 7000. Not bad for a recent start up. Couldnt find out how many Porsche make but I believe their target is something like 200k. Which is about the same volume as jaguar.

According to the VW group investors pack, Porsche shipped 256,000 cars in 2018, which is a lot more than Jaguar and at a much higher average price particularly if you have no self control on the options list.

I would hazard a guess that well over 50% of those were Tonka Toys. This is the big market which is why everyone is doing it, you would think that fuel was only 50p a gallon!!

That's where the 'real' profit is made

Remember that Ferrari deliberately control the number of new cars released among the public in order to maintain market control. Who said rigging markets was illegal? I suspect that they could do quite a few more if they tried.

McLaren have done a great job coming into such a refined market at that pace. It shows that focus and engineering skills still have a place. When you look at others that have tried, Koooonigggseeeggss, Pagani etc. They have great products as well but have not gained McLarens broad market acceptance.

It also shows the lower cost models sell well. If you can afford a Sausage GT3xxx then you can be sitting in an equally impressive (but different) McLaren 5x0 model.

Sad for Jaguar.

I’ve been reliably told that Porsche sell more SUV’s than every other model put together so based on those figures, at least 130,000

Yes but those SUVs are really VW / audi SUVs in drag. They arent real Porsche cars. Badge engineering.
