For anyone that has the Morgan Hoods aka Phoenix Design aka John Taylor door mirrors and would like some neoprene gasket to fill the gap between the mirror and adjuster plate like this

Just PM your address to me and I’ll send you some FOC

DaveW kindly gave me mine from his extensive neoprene collection but I’ve now got my own stock to give away

Sorry to any overseas owners but if I can just keep it to posting to the UK please

Thanks to everyone who PM’d me

Just an update

All the sets of gaskets have been sent out in tonight post (Wednesday) 1st class to everyone that got in contact

Just PM me if they don’t arrive in the next few days

I’ve cut them to just a smidgen (technical term for a gnat’s whisker) over length

You may or may not want to trim them with a knife neatly to the sides of the ‘V’ groove in the adjuster plate once you have squeezed the gasket into the gap

If the gasket doesn’t stay in on one side and it’s a bit tight on the opposite side then you will just need to adjust the screws in the plate to even out the gap so it’s parallel to the back of the mirror

I’ve had the gasket in the mirrors on my two Mogs for over 2 years without them ever coming out dispite constantly adjusting the mirror angle when I reverse park into my garage so it’s a neat fit

I’ve still got a couple of sets left for anyone that missed this post and wants some

Just PM me your address

By the way

For anyone trying to decipher the part code

Don’t

It’s not that clever (wish it had have been though now in retrospect)

I just thought it would be mildly amusing (to me anyway) to have such a tiny thing have a long complicated part code

Such a simple mod but it makes such a big difference...……….

When the package was safely received earlier today I said to Swmbo the “i was surprised it had a part number and a QC sign off”

Certainly got me going Stewart , and thanks again for supplying.

Thanks Stewart, I hope we all got different part numbers, so that no-one can copy them and start making low grade versions, or pinch DW's intellectual rights wink
