Thanks Shooter, hard to quantify I imagine about the drive but I guess its a general overall feeling rather than just a single thing that stands out?

It will be interesting to see what other dealers value mine at, and ultimately that might make the decision for me I guess!

Nick. Back in 2006 when i bought my first Aero i think the price diff was about 6k second hand, i took the works Gtn on a test drive and take away the side exits found very little difference in performance the factory and even Charles Morgan admitted it.Remember that since its production most series 1s have had exhaust upgrades and other enhancement's so every day driving you wont notice the possible 20bhp difference. The GTN is a rare Aero but nearly twice the price of a series 1 is totally bonker's having said that i wish i had paid
the extra 6 k for financial reasons only. Your part ex price will be between 35 and37 i would imagine to retail around 42 to 44k. Your series 1 is a great car check out the specs before you make a descision I also thought there was a boom inside with the hard top on which i couldnt live with. You pays your money and make a choice. Happy hunting.

The GTN is rare car, but then so is the market for them. My man maths would put it at £60k compared to the S1, based on what it might cost to purchase the some of the upgrades.

If it was me I would not be prepared to pay £75k based on what else you can get for the same money.

Nick

I have not driven a GTN but when I sat in one it did feel really special , and VERY different to a Series 1 or 2. I think it was built so that MMC could homologate their GT race car.

People have always tried to talk up the rarity of certain models (mainly those that own them) and sometimes the prices follow this , and other times they don't. However Morgans are rarely purchased on a financial basis , they are an emotional purchase based on perceptions of enjoyment. So how much of a premium it is worth is not totally relevant. It is whether it would give your more enjoyment during your ownership.

Good luck in coming to the right answer, for yourself.

Thanks for the comments all, much food for thought. I agree with everything which is the confusing thing, my head says its not twice the car.. and my heart loves it because I remember watching it on Top Gear when I was younger and wondering what on earth it was - and how amazing it must be to own!

The differences off the top of my head are:
- Larger 4.6l Alpina tuned version of the 4.4v8
- Carbon fibre hardtop
- Side exhausts
- Piano black wood trim
- Carbon fibre dash/console insert
- Bespoke Mota-lita steering wheel
- Cutouts in front valance
- Exclusivity!

Might have missed something else..
