It's not all doom and gloom, most series 1s will have had the upgrade. The achilles heel is the power steering coupling which Morgan stopped supplying so you had to buy an upgrade steering set up which they also now stop supplying.
Good news for us SIfab now supply the old coupling see page 11 in Miscellany so that can only be replaced rather than the whole system. Its now quite an easy fix as long as you have the old system fitted.

I had the hydraulic steering pump "go" on my S1 and as others have commented , there is no support from MMC as they sold the last one around a year ago and that was it - no more! I have mine serviced by ACE and I believe along with Simon (SiFab) they have produced a unit which they can replace with your faulty one which then gets upgraded and ready to be fitted in to the next culprit! I must say, after 5k miles it works very well and no more little puddles on the garage floor!!

Interestingly (and no doubt tempting fate) but mine is still running the original system and pump, ironically if SiFab can now service these this appears to actually be a good thing!

Mine too, I bought the last coupling in the factory and fitted half of it a couple of years ago, Simon at Sifab was prepared to sell me the other bit so i will get it and keep it for spares just in case. I have four new OZ's and a refurb in the garage too scared to fit them on though.
