I have plate no.19 of 60. I've read that they sold the first 30 before they were built - with many going abroad- especially to Germany.

Does anyone know if they ever built the 60 in total?

Yours isn't a Speedster any more since Milt had in converted to a roof in Germany!!

Don't get mad...only joking !!!

I've been trying to collect P4SS info on the 60 produced..MMC have no definite idea on actual colours/numbers so good luck !!

Non taken from the man who once told me TBs weren’t worth the money!!!!

They sound glorious- as you now know.

Milt also fitted a great stereo- which I also thank him for

As with all MMC limited editions I am not sure any one really knows and if they do they are not very forthcoming. My best bet is upper 40’s I think they were planning 50 although the build plate says 60. Further confusion is caused because MMC let you pick a build number in my case 48 so in realality they mean very little. Finally several were produced as normal Plus 8’s weather protection etc but with the Speedster decals and build plate so you could argue not real Speeders.

MMC announced in 2009 that 100 Centenary Roadsters (R100's) would be produced to mark 100 years of car production by MMC- all to Amazon Green V6 specification.

I purchased 001/100 and the months rolled by.

We have since located just 63 cars which as far as we know is all that were produced - although we have located number 100/100!

Cheers

So the irony is that the Coupe was not limited production but apparently they ended up making less than 40 of them (Supersports not included) in total. I can understand why many people would not necessarily want a hardtop Mog but I still love it.

I still think that throttle bodies on a 4/4 (which is what I was referring to at the time ) at £3000 + don't give much of a gain..other than the noise of course !!!

Better to spend £3-400 on a remap in my opinion.

I love the speedster..hence driving round in myP4SS in all weathers with aeroscreens or cut down screen.

I tend to agree with you regarding the 4/4. Remap, full sports exhaust system, panhard rod and probably my best mod, the competition rear axle ratio (4.1:1.?) . The Aero Racing TB kit was expensive, raised the power to 154 bhp but I never found the improvement in torque was that impressive. It did sound glorious though.....🤓

I should NEVER have traded that car in for the Roadster 🙄

I had the 4:1 ratio - which was fab. I was getting 167 bhp and increased torque. Somewhere on here is the dynroad before/ after comparison. I did send it down to Omex who helped with the new ecu you get with the kit,

If I could have kept this 4/4 I would have- but I couldn’t- revving the nuts off it and throwing it around was fun.

Sound of TBs vs V8 side exit?.

Never say never again, John. Where there is space in your heart for an exquisite vintage car, there can also be space for a beautiful 4/4. Then you can equip it as the first 4/4 should be. And with the Madza transmission even the longer rear axle ratio works very well. Who knows...

If one has TB's bolted on then to set them up it requires an RR session and while there might as well change cams to something more lively and have a re map and side exhaust and freeflow manifold which these people will do and would offer a discount !! Panhard rod could be a DIY fit after returning from RR ?
