It's a great loss IMHO that they have all but disappeared, a chap down our road has a Y10 ( also known as a White Hen ) but it has a Chevy badge and is basically a Fiat 500 in a pretty frock

I love the little white hen wink , it is such a shame after their wonderful contributions over the years of innovation and styling to end up where they are.

I agree that it is a shame that Fiat took over Lancia.

The Lancia true "sliding pillar" suspension is quite different to the much simpler Morgan suspension. Technically speaking the Morgan front suspension is a "sliding stub axle" system.

I have always rather hankered after one of these:

That's a new one to me, I agree what a beauty. Lovely featureless doors look so clean.

Yes, very desirable car. Particularly like the curved windscreens on cars of this era. Don't like the chromed wheels though! Also seems to be sitting a bit high off the road.

It does look high off the road now you come to mention it Rob, no sump grounding problems there.

They were THE cars to be seen in during the '50's and I for one would gladly give one a home now, simply beautiful.

Bertone more or less kick started the wedge styling in the '70's with the Stratos and cario. Shame they no longer exist as a styling house, some of the greats came from them. love

So right Reg - I still find the look of the Stratos bang up to date and a really dynamic form, up there with the GT40 and 917 there is something very special about those shapes.

Was it Bertone that penned the Alfa GTV 2000 ?

The Stratos was a wonderful rally car, but my favorite was the Alpine. 110.
