Apparently it’s a rollover, no not that one, you can’t finally justify buying the last unsold Aero Plus 8

It’s GPS reset rollover, which may end up being as dangerous confused2 as the ‘millennium bug’ but who knows ?

This is a recent genuine warning from TomTom…

The GPS Week Number Rollover (WNRO) occurs every 19 years, with the next roll over taking place on 6 April 2019. Similar to odometers in older cars rolling over from 99,999 km to 0, the GPS WNRO is the resetting of the GPS calendar back to 0.

When the calendar resets, it can cause a miscommunication between GPS satellites and GPS receiver chips. As a result, some chips in satnavs will lose the ability to process certain functions.

What does this mean for you? It’s time to check your satnav. Depending on your device, you may need to update or upgrade

Will your car be converted to a Tardis and travel through time?

I remember the millenium fears and the steps our company took “just in case”.
A damp squib for usthough. Nothing untoward.

One of my clients was an aged care facility that had a whole lot of residents that hadn't yet been born crazy2

The only possible explanation was that they were time travellers but due to their age we were not worried that they could become their own parents.
