I absolutely know the feeling HB , as today I went for my first legal drive in mine in NZ , it was good to get away from the current news and visit our local Morgan guru to check her out, on the way home I thought of plus8 rich and took the very long way around the water front home , twice people yelled at me--nice Morgan. Starting to get used to her again having not driven her since July in the UK .

Brilliant!

you "get it" in bucket loads. There is no logical reason for how we feel, but it is real.

Driving west on an empty A30 from Popham to Salisbury on Thursday was something I'll never forget. the Arrow straight Roman Road alignment, trees and fields, hills and dips, blue sky, clouds, howling gale, the big V8 in 3rd sounding like nothing else can.

Utter bliss.

Welcome to the madhouse!

Thank you Peter.
Ended up too excited still to sleep much. Weather even worse today so intend to spend the morning in the garage moving the seat n mirrors a bit to suit-the wing mirrors are hysterically poor!!!! And to practice with hood manoeuvres so I end up looking like a Red Bull pit stop in terms of speed. Should put that on the Generation Game for fun! Also going to take empty suitcases down to see what fits/works on the back and behind the seats and so forth. Ok, I may accidentally press the start button too...😇
Can’t wait

Well done HB..

It's now home tucked up in your garage and it's YOUR'S !!!

You will find yourself watching less TV and popping out just to look at it and run your hands over that beautiful form.

Have fun ..and get some proper mirrors !!!

If you are finding the steering a tad heavy it could do with mulfab bearings , a common fix , makes a heck of a difference , don't know why they aren't put on as standard .
The other thing about Mogs is they are tinkering car as in making it just that little bit better !

That first Morgan drive is so utterly unforgettable, they really are like nothing else!

I’ve not driven mine yet with the hood up, that’ll definitely come soon cos im getting too impatient to wait for hood down weather.

Handbrake took me a while to get used to (I’d not say mastered!), but now I’ve even managed some hill starts.

I am so pleased that you have enjoyed the drive home so much, I saw your post in the “have you driven yours today” thread - as a noobie it’s such a relief to finally be able to post in the Big Boys thread #me too

Look forward to seeing Florence at some event later this year - anything booked yet?

Not yet , that only comes when a cracking bit of totty chases you for a ride in the mog AND IT WILL . One of the ones that chased me in her Merc did it on a frozen Dec night from yon side of Durham to my garage door 25 mile . One lad warned me when I purchased the mog in the 80s "they snap knicker elastic " I will leave that to others .

ps. I gave her a mog mag as she kept on my tail all the way and I was giving it some. drive

Thank you all
Am so cold from being in the garage for last two hours, have had to come back in. She is such a pretty car!!!! Been playing with the hood and radio and storage. Can it be that the radio/cd put into such an expensive car won’t even playback through the speakers when phone plugged in using a USB cable??? Ridiculous..thus can’t hear satnav or my own music (not that am planning on playing music over the orchestra that is the sports exhaust of course).

FW - am looking at going to the Donington Historic thingy in May on the Saturday. Before then we are going for an overnighter to Guisborough Hall which may be up your way. Planning route using an old fashioned map as we speak. Thinking of cutting off the A1 onto A170 to Pickering then something like A169 through the North York Moors-any good dya reckon?
Happy days
