A close friend of an acquaintance of mine has terminal cancer and 6 to 9 months to live.

He has always wanted to have a Morgan, now it is too late.
I've been asked to take him out for a couple of hours in Tarka.

It is an honour...
It will be done.

Want a Coupe along as well Peter? I know it's not a proper Morgan but you are welcome if the timing is practical.

I think we might see if we can make it a very special day. I'll post more when I know more.

A Hopmog friend of mine asked to be taken for one last ride in his Morgan in similar circumstances, but unfortunately was admitted to hospital on the day it was arranged for and never did get his wish.
Very sad.

Sorry to read this Peter, well done you will see him right and a privilege to share the drive with him.

I did similar for a friend of mine a couple of years ago and I often imagine he is still in that seat on a nice run over Dartmoor he was the ex London Fireman you may remember, a brisk run makes your eyes leak sometimes when you're not expecting it.

Performed an identical service for a friend's wife just last week.
Lots of photos taken. It's not even an onerous task, just an honour as you say Peter.
What marvellous cars we are lucky enough to own and drive.

Something positive no matter how slight in the grand scheme of things. Nice one Peter and as you say a touching honour.
Hope it goes well Peter
Heartfelt best wishes at a difficult time for your passenger

We did a similar thing for a Range Rover owning friend, 30 months ago.

We drove him to the Hospice in his Range Rover for his final week of care. They were his favourite cars.

Bitter sweet as I had to take him out of his beloved forest cottage for the last time which was very, very sad but the last run in the Range Rover was less taxing.

Do your best Peter, nothing else for it.
