Anyone going to the Bo'ness hillclimb weekend 31st August/1st September? The hillclimb itself is on Sunday 1st, but on Saturday 31st, there's a road run from Linlithgow to Duns, Jim Clark's stamping ground, lunch there and visit to the museum and car display dedicated to him. We're going on our first visit north of the border with our Mog, very much looking forward to it...http://www.bonessrevival.co.uk is the link, scroll down to Jim Clark Road Tour for road run info.

The answer is yes. I am organising Jockmog to have a presence on the day with probably nine cars on our pitch on the sunday and unknown number on the saturday run. I certainly propose at present to do the run. The sunday is a good day being very much busier at the showground although the competative hill climb runs both days and is a great place to walk around the paddock. We had two club cars competing last year.

The Revival is a great event with a real "garden party" atmosphere in the paddock. The hillclimb itself is very short and many go just to enjoy the "craic" (until the light goes green, that is!) The age cut-off for competing cars is 1974 and as the attached (the red one) has now been sold and its replacement is post '74 I will probably do the run on the Saturday

Don.

Hi Andrew, any chance you might be able to squeeze a sassenach Hopmog on to your pitch for the Sunday? We're booked for the Saturday run as well, looking forward to it!

This could be tempting. I'd need to combine it with a longer trip to the area and can't commit at present.

I understand Motorsport UK want to implement a 1968 cut-off and that there will be no invitational class this year. The invitational class catered for selected non-age eligible cars.

That's a shame Don.
They might have a new name, but it's still the same old MSA.

We have had to add some additional ArmCo at Prescott this year. I cannot see the point of one part (apparently to protect a marshals' post). Cars would be running so slowly at that point (exit from Ettores) with a large gravel trap I don't see any way a car would reach the tyre wall, never mind get over it.
