Sometime in the recent past, I've seen a photo or two of a 4 seater, that's had the rear seats removed and replaced with a wooden board for increased load storage.

However, I now can't find it - anyone got any ideas?

I want to do something similar in preparation for a weeks camping trip smile I've some thoughts already, but always nice to adapt someone elses idea.....

Found it! Wasted hour searching Google, and then went to the photo gallery section here and it was on the second page....

Hello TBM,

Mike Pullen a friend with a 4-seater of similar age has recently done a very nice job with his, he lives North-east of Milton Keynes so can't be too far from you.

I'm sure he would be happy to show you.

PM me your Email and I'll put him in touch (I don't think he visits here often).

Me ? I left my 1969 4-seater very much as it came from Malvern, apart from rear lap belts when rebuilt in 1997.

Have Fun !
Andy

Ahh, I've been in touch with Mike before - he used to do the MHR didn't he? Know where he lives - drive through there twice a day! I'll give him a shout. Thank you.

Hello TBM. I have successfully modified the rear seat area of my 1971 4/4 4str; it looks as if you are quite close to us (south Northants) and if I can help, contact me off line (mikejp.51@gmail.com)

rear fittings were not that easy - this might be a good solution.

I am still not satisfied with front pillars as they need work to be removed...
