The big plan is to dual the A303 all the way to Illminster, then upgrade the A358 road to dual carriageway from the 303 to the M5 at Taunton. At the same time the A350 from the A303 would be upgraded to dual carriageway all the way to the M4

When will this happen? At least some of it within the next 10 years. The A303 from the Countess Road Roundabout at Amesbury will ho into a tunnel past Stonehenge,

All about it here..

Over 30 Morgans, with their owners, arrived at the BDAC site in the morning sunshine. We lined them up in front of two of the 1917 built Aircraft Sheds!

Another perspective, with Tarka tucked up under the wing of our Hawker Hunter.

After coffee, biscuits our Project Director, Sqdn Ldr. John Sharpe gave a fascinating lecture about the origins of Boscombe Down, the early flying, the Empire Test Pilots School and the establishment of the Collection.

That done the group entered one of our two hangars for a group photograph...
This is about half of the group!!

Feedback was enormously positive, the weather was fantastic and everyone enjoted the day.

Thanks to all for joining in!

Peter, if this event is still happening when I reach retirement I will 100% be there and am v envious of the gang that were there. I spent a CCF Air Section camp there one summer (I think it may have ‘82 or ‘83). We were due to go up in a C130 which unfortunately cancelled so we were winched up into a Wessex instead! Does it get any more exciting???
Would love to visit your premises again one day (without having to march everywhere and salute!)
