Today was the day, and I managed to get there and back with only a slight shower on the way home.

No problems with the test, although my tester noted the closeness of the sidewalls to the brake reaction bars.

The standard brakes did better than my upgraded Roadster brakes on the rollers, with far better balance.

My only worry was the emissions test, knowing how hard it is to maintain a constant throttle opening with the hair trigger GDI throttle response. Anyway, after a shaky start, he got the hang of it and although it's not close to my Roadster, which seemingly produces nothing....., it passed easily.

So that's me done for another year, except for two lots of Road Tax at the end of the month.

- good news re. the MOT Dave and peace of mind for a year now thumbs

Re. the road Tax,a while back I put our cars onto the DD system from here -

DD road tax

and I have to say it works really well. The payments appear on the bank statement with the car registration number alongside so it is easy to keep track of them.

The system also saves having to remember renewal dates/SORN notifications, etc.
