Hotel in Fowey is fixed and its a 4 day event - one day travel down from bristol, next two days doing trips out from fowey, fouth day trip back up towards bristol.

Club members are of the older generation so the ladies seem to like national trust / gardens and the guys are all petrolheads. So whats needed is a mxture of both using some "driving" roads

Ideas? Pub for lunch on the way down. Roads for some driving fun, maybe over dartmoor. Motor museums?

This is in Dartmoor - http://moretonmotormuseum.co.uk/

Not been, but will be visiting when I holiday there in a few weeks.

You've always got the Donald Healey links - Trebah Gardens/Perranporth/Healeys Cider Farm - although not a vast amount to please a petrolhead....

I'll pm you a few ideas later on this evening Howard for your consideration, be careful with the Moretonhampstead museum he has very limited opening times but worth a vist.

Thanks. I need some help on this one. We have the Eden project on the list for the ladies and likely the gardens of helligan (?) so its the guys, and the car bit thats lacking. And the decent pubs for lunch.

As I trust you won't just be blatting up and down the M5 to and from Cornwall, what about a detour via the Haynes Museum near Yeovil, which is always worth a visit. If you chat to them prior to visiting with a small group they may lay on a visit to their on-site repair and refurbishing workshops.
