Thank you John

No, the watch side of things I leave to the Pros. Cases in all three are German made and all models are fitted with ETA/Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement.

Is it something that could be crowdfunded?

That would let you keep control of designs, and pre-fund production, design by design.

A dragons den route would imply scale, which risks taking away the hand made craftsmanship... it's a tricky balance to strike.

Thank you Will

There are various route I could go if I wanted to do more. One of those is crowdfunding and although Im confident I could get funded ( Im quite well known in the watch world community ) I would then end up with potentially 100s of people putting in their input and with the best will in the world I would never be able to please everyone. Also, Im absolutely rubbish at doing all the slick PR and imagery stuff that goes with crowdfunding project ! As a one man band I am already inundated with emails etc. I just think crowdfunding for me would be a heck of a lot of hassle !!

The three models I did, I made them to how I wanted them to look and be presented. After each model was finished it was then that I presented them with fingers crossed that others liked them laugh2

I could go to the Asian market but again, I think logistically this would cause headaches for me with language and warranty issues, importing etc . And to be honest, I just dont want an Asian made product !!
Ideally I would like a UK made product but that will never happen, certainly not for a while. So the next best would be Germany. They make some really great stuff and I know of a couple companies that make watches for other people around the world. As for price, pheeewee, minimum order is 100 units and I think last time I enquired around 5 years ago was about 60-70 k !!

Bones,

What beautiful work, thank you for posting. As you are aware, Im always up for a bit of watch porn. I have just returned from the Fine Watch Room at Harrods where, perhaps because of her interest in my Pierre De Roche Split Rock that I happened to be wearing, she took me on a tour of all the "nice" watches ending with an H Moser & Cie in the form of a Half Hunter wrist watch. It is beautiful but a £220K a little outside this months pension.
Keep up the good work and thank you for posting the pics.

I knew they'd go down well Carl! There are quite a few engineers and closet horologists on here.

I too hope you do another run; they really are lovely time pieces and the work that has gone into the straps and packaging puts many of the large manufacturers to shame.

Talk Morgan edition... I did get reasonably far along that road whilst we were raising money for charity.

Bonesie,

With my well known abilities on computers (!!!!!) I can't share a picture with you however, somewhere on TM there is a picture that one of the more experienced users ( I think it might have been Alistair) put on here showing the one off Morgan watch that I had made for me by Garrick. The strap is the same as the leather in my car, the dial face is enamelled silver with the same colour paint as my care etc.
