For those that do not live on sochul medier there is a new app call FaceApp. It takes your photo and then allows you to roll on the years (like I need that) and see what your face might look like.
https://www.faceapp.com/

I was speaking with a doctor I know over a drink or two and we decided this was the first wave in a global marketing ploy.

The next (highly sponsored) version will allow you to wind on +XX years. Then there will be a little bar underneath that you can drag from side to side showing your Plastic Surgery budget and what it will look like afterwards!

I dare not put my mug in to play.

Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.

I'd be very wary of going anywhere near FaceApp. When you use it, you are granting them (them being a Russian outfit) unconditional permission to do whatever they want with all your images and information in perpetuity.

I think that if you look at almost any apps and software terms and conditions you’d be horrified. Facebook and Twitter are amongst the worst for what they can do with your (or their as they consider it) posts.
Tick the little box that says you agree to terms and conditions and you have sold your soul to them.
You may have guessed I’m not a fan. I’m one of those who decline all cookies as well

If facebook and twatter insist that what you post is theirs, are they not accepting liability for the content?

From lexology.com

While variations exist, popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn all follow a common framework. While user terms typically state that users remain the owners of the content they share, by agreeing to the terms, users usually grant the platform a non-exclusive, royalty free, transferrable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use content shared on the platform.

Effectively this means that once a user’s content is uploaded to social media, the user loses exclusive control over his/her content.

This is not going to cause me any sleepless nights as I don't have a mobile phone of any sort and I don't do much "on Line" except here and the Jaguar sites. As for apps, why would I want them?

Here for a good time not a long time!!
