Can anyone help. After checking my brake fluid today found a short loom hanging beside the reservoir with a plug in socket on the end . Don't know if I knocked it off a connection or it was there all the time. I can't find anywhere to plug it back in. Everything on the car electrical seems to work ok. Hopefully someone can help. The car is a 1800 duretec 4/4 .thanks in advance. PS one wire is black and green the other black.

Ray from a quick check of BS wiring code i.d. it would seem from the colours you identified that the plug may be related to the fan relay..? Is there a relay within reach of the harness that the plug might have been connected to..? http://www.dimebank.com/LucasColours.html. Can't find anything near it, the wires are only about nine inches long near the servo. Thanks for your thoughts.

Is it for a brake fluid level indicator in the reservoir and normally attached to the reservoir cap? . i wonderd that but the reservoir has a form of rubber gromit in the top. Perhaps it's never been conected to anything. It is a Morgan. Thanks for your help.

Spare washer motor connection should you ever need to move the steering wheel to the other side.

Take a look at the chassis harness drawing towards the bottom of the 2006 parts book. There is a washer connector on both sides of the car (wire colours LGB and B).

You can find wiring diagrams at http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/44WiringDiagrams1998on.htmlAccording to that the brake fluid level should be black and white. Black should be the earth (negative). I can't find any likely reference to black and green so given its location I think Max5 is correct and it is the brake fluid level switch. I suspect that the cap should look something like this: ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/-zoAAOSwT4lWTKxm/s-l300.jpg)
