How to post a photograph: -

Enter one of Galleries (denoted by a camera next to the forum picture and name)

Choose the New Image tab (below the main navigation menu at the top of the page and next to the Forum Options tab).

In the Subject box, type a subject

Into the Description area, add any information regarding the picture you wish.

Beside the text that reads Post Options you will see some text that reads Image Manager, click this text

A new pop-up window should open (the File Manager window), choose the Browse command and another window will open called Choose File; use this to find the photo you wish to add from your local hard drive or area network.

Once you have found it, press Open and the Choose File window should disappear, leaving you with the File Manager window open.

Now you MUST choose the Add File command, or your photo will not be uploaded to the site.

You can repeat this step as many times as the Gallery allows (most of the Galleries on Talk Morgan allow 5 photos per post).

Once you have added all the files you wish, add a File Caption in the text box (for example, Johns Morgan Plus 8).

Now click Done Adding Files which will return you to the main posting screen.

Press Submit and you have finished adding a photograph.

Congratulations! thumbs

I seem to behaving trouble posting an avatar. It is less than 100x100pixels. 96x96 to be exact. I clicked the radio button and pasted the IMG link, then I tried the URL. The error message is "Improper picture type." But it is a .jpg.

What am I missing! LOL

You need to reduce photos to under 1 MB before posting them. 800 X 600 and 1024 x 768 are OK. I use Fotosizer. It can be downloaded without cost at http://www.fotosizer.com/. Donations are optional.

Remember to either copy your photos to a different folder before re-sizing or let Fotosizer create a new folder for you.

I'm just a happy user of the program.

Well, it does not work for me. Every time I try, I get this message:

"We encountered a problem. The reason reported was

It looks as if your file attachment size exceeded the max size of 1 MB.

Please click back to return to the previous page."

Well it does not exceed 1MB. This system is almost as annoying as the M3W's bonnet/cowl fasteners. Funnily enough, it was a photo of my solution to that which I was trying to post. I cannot be bothered with Photobucket. Oh well, too bad.

Happens to me too even when I have apparently selected a file size below 1 meg. Curiously, if I then email the image to myself, the resulting file is somehow changed (compressed, re-sized?) and can be posted on TM. ps I use MS Outlook.

P Dron - I am irritatingly confronted by that same bewildering message whenever I have tried to post photo images here recently. I am using Photobucket and have previously been successful in attaining my goal. I have tried reducing the images to smallest scale possible but I continue to be repeatedly chided by this frustrating message:

"We encountered a problem. The reason reported was
It looks as if your file attachment size exceeded the max size of 1 MB. Please click back to return to the previous page."
