Those are much better. If you can, ask MMC to delete the factory fit ones, which are of no use, and get those or fit your own.

Why would you do that? My car is 4 years old today, done 9000km and never had an issue. How many cars since the regulator reposition have had issues?

PhilNZ, S&S regulators are still failing.
The Banner battery in the UK is quite useless, and the 3 wheeler definitely benefits from a change.

Depends who you talk to I guess, I’ve had my car from new for 32 months, 14,000 miles and I’m still waiting for battery and regulator problems. All good so far.

My Banner battery is 6 years old & will start the car after 3 weeks standing. Only once in 6 years have I had to charge it to get started. OK if yours fails get something different but if its works why change? Perhaps I have more luck with batteries, a Varta lasted 19 years on my vintage car with no voltage regulation & another Varta lasted 13 years on a Bentley S3.

The vintage bonnet catches are well worth considering
