However I did notice this as well.

"Alongside Newey, Veloce, who are associated with the Veloce Esports organisation, have named the designer's son Harrison Newey and two-time Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne as two of the five co-founders."

I wonder how Adrian got involved then? Ahem.

I am being rude, I wish them luck, it is no worse than many other things going on right now. I just don't like it when someone gold coats a frog and claims it's a prince. I have had too much PR spin in the last few years and think a lot of society has sold of it's moral values for a 20% larger packet containing 20% less content than last years product.

Fascinating to read how all this works, thanks Alistair.

And there's me worrying about my Mini Mars bars doh

Just got back from a cruise to the Med.
That puts me in the bad boy category for starters....
When in Rome there were thousands of school kids demonstrating about climate change. All milling about in trainers made in China, smart phones, designer names on everything, congesting traffic ( it is bad anyway without them).
So that removed a lot of guilt I felt. ( yeah)
Yes there is a need to take eco measures but the bandwagon has been growing for years. I remember it being used as a selling point over 30 years ago.
These days if you don’t show eco concern you get marginalised, berated, insulted, lose business, lose political favour, so the Newey stuff doesn’t surprise me at all.
There have been a lot of cynical decisions over the last few years. So who will put their head above the parapet and take strong action against countries that flout globally agreed eco progress?
I am with Alistair on this. Seen too much short term turning a blind eye and avoiding issues to create image and not fall from favour.

Ive recently become a Consultant to two global Private Equity businesses, helping them look for companies to buy.
Over the last couple of months I've seen so much corporate bulls**t packaged into superficially convincing powerpoint presentations that I'm beginning to feel the business world is a great big Ponzi scheme and that "Ecomentalism" is the latest "offer" to load up some more debt to spend on dubious business plans.

If it wasn't for the money they pay me I'd feel guilty.
Actually I have started to feel guilty, but I need a couple of months more to fettle Tarka and my HiFi.

I'm with Alistair on this topic.

I prefer to call it "insulting" when I'm charging a nice tasty rate for doing some work in retirement.
