I use the heated seat quite often. Just when I feel the heat I turn it off, but the warmth lingers on for a long time. Nice! Buy it!
The torso is usually covered with a wool jumper, clad with a leather jacket, so a heated backrest would be of less use anyway.

Whilst I am not that bothered about heated seats Mrs L loves them!

She loves the 4/4 - but the love is enhanced for this - to her- vital add on!!

For the cost I would say go for it/them!!

Agree 100%.
I know you re talking about a M3W, but on a 4 wheeled car they are just as good. The MOG heater, h0od down, is good at keeping legs warm, the seats keep the upper body warm!

I used the heated seats out of necessity last weekend when going from sea levelat 50degrees F to 5240 feet of elevation and 40 degrees F. They really get hot and needed to be turned off frequently. A thermostat control would be appreciated.

My 4 wheeler has heated seats and swmbo loves them. There are three positions on the switch, on/off, warm and warmer. They never seem to get hot as per my tin top but then it is a Morgan.

Dreams are never what happens in reality and the Morgan is a dream, an old faded image. I bet if the Japanese made a three wheeler that looked like a Morgan everything would operate flawlessly.

I use heated seats a lot in the tintops, and wouldn't mind retro fitting some in the +4, can anyone recommend any after market seat heating mats that work well? It doesn't' seem to have come up in the previous 6 pages. Preferably available in the U.K.

Retrofitting of heated mats is AFAIK not so simple: if one attaches them under the upholstery the heat transfer is strongly weakened (perhaps someone can report here from personal experience).

Have you also considered heated jackets? They also warm the arms and neck.
I have used a heated vest so far. Now I'm upgrading to a heated jacket (Keis) because I also want warm arms (without side windows my left arm [LHD] always gets unpleasantly cold).
The wiring is simple because the battery is just behind the seats.

I concur with the Keis kit - I've used it for winter riding for many years. Just remember to unplug before moving!

I've got a portable Keis battery pack which fits into it's own pocket on the inside of the vest. Very useful if standing out in the cold for hours at a time.

+1 for the Keis heated jacket, can be plugged directly into the 12v outlet if you don’t want to re-wire.
