A break in the weather was the only excuse I needed, to strip away wet weather protection (following recent trips in the rain with the roof up). Even though it was only a couple of kms, it was nevertheless a therapeutic outing.
Here's the proof anyway.

Morgan Plus 4 (1962)
(I think our engine is as big as it can get (cc wise) with Massey Fergusson Tractor linings. In the clip I said 2.2 litre but not sure of exact size)

Great way to travel. I used to use my old +8 with aeroscreens, when the weather was suitable.Makes you feel like King of the road.

.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Just wanted to say, I have just watched several of your videos again for the umpteenth time and, whilst I lie here in plaster feeling grumpy, it’s the first time I’ve smiled in 4 days. Thank you so much for posting them and keep up the grand work. Morgan’s are so therapeutic....

Regarding your capacity , the "usual" limit is I think 2347 cc , this is done with 88mm pistons and a "stroker" crank where the stroke is enlarged by 1mm to get a longer throw.

The standard unit used 86mm pistons and a crank throw of 92 mm which gives 2138 cc

The next stage of modification is to use 87mm pistons and liners (used to be Powermax) which gives 2188 cc

The following stage is 88mm Omega pistons with the Ferguson tractor liners which you mention (the standard ones are too thin in some areas for these larger bores) , not sure what this gives but around 2240

The "ultimate" is the increase of the crank stroke to 93mm and this gives 2347cc (if my all too unreliable memory serves me well)

After this you are into the realms of megabucks and some very expensive engineering!

Another enjoyable clip, thanks for posting it Brian. I have been messing about trying to record some vid while enjoying my local roads. I set my GoPro up atop the windscreen though the wind noise drowned out the sound of the exhaust, BTW I do like the sound of yours...(-:

I bought the mic interface and tried a couple of runs though have not as yet managed to get the sound just as I might wish, guess I will just have to cover some more miles in the old Morgan to try to get the sounds as good as yours..sigh.. drive

Hi all and thanks for the contributions.
Kevfitz - Yours looks fast even parked.
Ray - I know the feeling well.
HeadlessBlue - Thanks for the compliments. Whether you're talking about a therapeutic drug or therapeutic exercise plan, something that is therapeutic helps to heal or restore to health. So I'm guessing your doctor recommended 'Morgan Talk' as part of the overall therapy.
MOG615 Thanks for the explanation - around 2240cc it is then with the standard stroke. Much appreciated.
+8Rich - Fergie Grey with just a hint of bronze I think.
Stefan s - Many thanks for the thumbs up.
Luddite - Looking forward to seeing the end result in video form.

A new video being loaded soon, headed ... Club Run - Auckland to the coast (Kaiaua, NZ) for lunch
