I know I've seen on here a "how to remove the cowl" post but I can't find it. banghead

Could someone kindly remind me please.

1999 4/4 if it makes a difference.

About to take the engine out and whilst I think it can be done without removing the cowl, I don't want to take any chances.

The more detail the merrier.

Thanks.

Thanks Richard, that's the one.

Just remembered, I should have used the advanced search function.

Brain fade, up early this morning to watch the Japanese GP.

You are welcome Bob, the search is a bit hit and miss at times for most of us.

You were up early, that Bottas start was quite amazing !

Yes, great start and he controlled the whole race.

Yet another mistake from Vettel though, I think young Charles is getting to him although he was a bit naughty himself in turn 2 which screwed his and Max's race up.

Also Charles dropped a load of body work which damaged both Lewis and Lando cars. Ferrari should have enforced earlier return to the pits.I realise there were post race penalties but doesn’t help Lando who was particularly compromised. Max made me laugh complaining about Charles’s tactics-pot/kettle etc (and he had said in the previous week how he enjoyed hard racing). Those two are going to have great battles in the years to come I reckon (along with Lando, Alex and Carlos)-bodes v well for the future.
I too got up early so feel your tiredness....

The Charles Max situation does remind me a lot of the Senna and Schumacher type of racing where if they saw no way of winning they would drive the opponent off the track, well they are all about winning and the only driver I don't ever see displaying this behaviour is Lewis.
I enjoyed the Bottas win he had to sacrifice at least two to Lewis last year that I can recall.

The future is exciting with all this young talent coming through providing the rule changes don't stifle the racing.

I couldn't contain my laughter at Maxes post interview race he was so indignant. I did agree with him about Vettel creeping on the start line though he may not have gained an advantage but a rule is a rule and he could have unsettled those around him.

Le Whatnot should have been shown the black/orange flag, when you saw the impact destroy Hamiltons mirror it proves there was some mass in the loose flying bits - what if they had hit another drivers visor ?

Poor marshalling or indecisive CoC nono
