This is exactly how I replaced the overrider screws. Without an impact driver those screws were stuck fast and going nowhere! Stainless sockets from Screwfix / Toolstation.

Just to continue this slight thread drift. I purchased both metric and imperial 1/4" square drive Allen (hex) key sets. Ball end versions are available that work at modest angles. These are particularly useful where an access hole is not aligned with the bolt head. I'm thinking of course of the overrider lower screw innocent

Either type make work on socket head bolts so much easier though.

Highly recommended. - Fitted mine before my Coast Road Trip and with Greasing every three days, wherever, it was a doddle to do.

And with Dave W's Bump Spring Gaiters fitted, just a quick check & occasional wipe around the base edge and Job Done.
