Iceland nice..........in the summer..........but only if one's other half allows one to go fishing. Try to avoid the harkarl (shark fermented in human urine) though the fiery aquavit they serve with it is ok. If New Zealand then Russell is the best town IN THE WORLD. But my favourite place is Denis in the Seychelles. PLEASE don't end up all going there -- it's very small and very exclusive (no footballers and no-one from Cheshire). I,m not good at posting photos in massages so I'll try to put some Denis pix in the pix section.

as long as I avoid this

Spent a working life in aeroplanes so I hate flying, I hate the checking in, I hate the baggage rules, I hate the seats, I hate the inconvenience and the car parking. Flying anywhere spoils the holiday for me. Being in your own boat at sea is about as free as you can ever get in the modern world. No licence, no police, no speed limits, just some basic highway code type rules

Iceland is eccentric . We love it .
My favourite would be Antigua in Feb.
Though a good safari is hard to beat.

Twaz Cadiz - but next year its Tromso. This year abandoned because of a minor medical issue. Next years itinerary almost ready but its an ambitious one - lets see if Brexit influences the issue!

I'm lucky to live where I do, I hardly get the urge to go away anywhere. But when I do, it's the Highlands and Islands of Scotland that call to me every time. Even when the weather is pants it's still unbelievably beautiful.

and Tobermory is just the most charming little town I have ever seen.
