I have been approached by Graham (V8S) of PH to see if we can support "Caring with Cars 2011" which will bring all manner of performance and classic vehicles together to raise much-needed funds for a very worthwhile cause on Saturday 9th July 2011. I'll let Graham explain in his own words, as follows: I am the organiser of a large and informal private event for PH members which is being held at (and in support of) the Children's Hospice near Bristol on Saturday 9th July, a very worthwhile charity that cares for over 1,000 seriously ill children and their families. We are sponsored by Bath and Bristol Audi, and Pistonheads has officially promoted us on their homepage. Entrance is free but cars need to register for security and insurance. We already have various interesting cars including 1 of 2 Duesenbergs in the UK, a Bugatti Type 57 Atalante (1 of 3), a Bentley Le Mans, 2 of the 4 TVR Typhons that exist, a DB7 Zagato, 2 Countachs, 3 Diablos, 2 Morgan Aero's and many more. Full details can be found here: http://www.caringwithcars.comThe Hospice is very easy to get to, located just a couple of miles off the M5 motorway (Junction 19) near Bristol in lovely countryside. Would you do me a huge favour by coming to the event with your car, and invite any other enthusiasts you know? We have a maximum of 400 cars (for insurance and security reasons) so you will need to add your name to the car list here: http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=24428Really looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Graham (V8S) http://www.caringwithcars.com As you can see on the PH List I've added my car and Matt C already has his details down, so let's support this event guys as it is for a really worthy cause. It would be nice to see some Tradisiti's supporting the cause too and by July 2011, we should also have some 3W's that can come in addition.

Looks like a great event, unfortunately I am out of the country that week. I hope we get some more Mogs along.

He ran a similar event last year with rides in cars on offer for charity and I think My Aero and a very nicely kept 308 were the most popular rides. I will try and get along to this one too.

Hi chaps, We've increased the limit now to 450 cars so if any Mogs still wish to sign up, there's more spaces: http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=24428 Some additional info since the first post was made (very kindly) by Aeroman: - Red Arrows flypast - GREAT raffle prizes, including VIP hospitality at Silverstone Classic weekend, glider lesson, British GT hospitality, Michelin-star lunch, Porsche's own Driving Experience at Silverstone, Audi TT for the weekend, etc - Free advanced driving talk by Mike Cooper of www.drivertuition.com- Pistonheads bake-off vote: friendly rivalry between two PHers who think their chocolate brownies are the best! - Over 400 cars now plus some such as the Mosler MT900S, Metro 6R4, Desert Warrior (like a Bowler Wildcat) and Bugatti Type 35 that aren't on the public list - Various ABT-tuned Audis plus a display from Bath and Bristol Audi of S and R8 models Cheers, Graham
