Great DIY thread - I've stuck it to the top of the Maintenance forum - thank you for taking the time to write the process down.

If you use a lambswool mit, you may find this tip useful. When the new kitchen was fitted, I took the extending towel rail and screwed it under the bench. No clear idea what it would be used for but I'm loathe to throw anything away. Then I realised that it makes an ideal place to dry out the lambswool mit...........

I would be punished for unauthorised use of anything in the kitchen, apart from the toaster, and even that has rules.

True enough, but the garage is my domain......and so is what goes in it.

I think that a woman's respect for the garage boundaries is crucial for a healthy relationship. My mrs used my wash buckets to feed the horses a few weeks ago. It will be years before I trust her with the combination for the new padlock

Another sado masochistic, whips/cuffs/padlock joke from Brian ... I am seeing a pattern here; many a true word spoken in jest ...
Cheers
