A total legend. I was really gutted by this new.

I always loved the description of his run-up as being like a vintage biplane trying to take-off in a gale

It’s always irked me that Botham always seemed to get all of the credit for the miracle of Headingly, when Bob’s 8/43 was every bit as vital as Beefy’s contribution.

Well I feel a bit guilty because I probably misjudged him

I remember watching the test with my Grandad when he destroyed the Aussie wickets. I remember thinking at the time that he would take a wicket every time he set off on his run. It was an incredible test and he was an incredible bowler

But sadly I didn’t warm to him as a Sky pundit

Listening to all the tributes yesterday, it seems his pundit persona was completely different to the real Bob Willis

Darren Gough spoke of the many evenings when he would be crying with laughter at Bobs witty tales and humour and everyone spoke of his intelligence and passion for wine and music

One of England's best fast bowlers and his performance at Headingley is part of cricket folklore.

Sad news and my thoughts are with his family.
