Ferrari should set up a retro department to build cars like this one.

After a bit design fine tuning and with slimmer Borranis and aluminium body it would be really, really great:

A great suggestion, let's hope they do it without adding a pair of zeros to the end of the bill and limiting it to a run of 10!

Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.

What an utterly gorgeous car, shades of Mondial 500 with notes of D Type. These days, even the most dedicated Ferrari fan ( me included ) has a job to keep up with the ever increasing speed of car launches, the latest being the "Roma" The problem is that, even to me, they are in danger of becoming very similar to each other. Time was when you could tell a 250Tdf from a 275 GTB now it's quite difficult to tell a California from a Portofino.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Yes, you´re right. There is very much from the Ferrari Mondial in this car.

I didn´t know that Ferrari.

Thats because they are essentially the same car. OK the Portofino body is, I think, 4cm longer and there are a few more vents but most everything else is identical.

The German car pictured is very pretty and you cant say that of most Ferrari, certainly not the one that I have. But the 488 Spider is a very attractive vehicle and I dot see any reason to build a replica when that is available.

Thanks for sharing that Jens, what an absolute stunner that is visually and with the soundtrack to match.

)I saw this Minotto in the flesh today at the Morgan dealer (they do a lot of expensive brands).
It is GORGEOUS....
There was a Ferrari next to it, an AMG GT and several McLarens.
But the Minotto was by far the best looking car, other than the Morgans of course smile
