Now with the recent addition of Italian money and repositioning of the product in the market now the time is right for the EVA GT that was so nearly there but not quite, it would certainly make the headlines at Geneva wink

It would make me think twice.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I rather liked the styling exercise that lived in the visitor centre. The snout of the EVA always looked gross to me.

If they can get the EVA GT body to work with the CX chassis they will have another winner, there has always been lots of interest in this car.

I hope they make something really new with the CX-chassis.
This could be much more fascinating than the retro-trad-look-alikes.

I agree Jens they need to move on a little with a nice GT tourer on the CX chassis now they have moved up market and here they will expect AC, ABS and don't want to faff around with a roof that is prone to leakage for £90k +.
They didn't have a problem selling the Aeromax, the market is ready particularly in the States and mainland Europe.

I think it would be very difficult for Morgan of this style to compete with other makes that have a better fit and finish for a similar class of vehicle with a similar price. The limited production of Morgan means that many would be off-put by the possibility of potential problems with spares and repairs. This means that sales of Morgans is somewhat limited to enthusiasts.

Whilst there is always a limited market for a car that is not mass produced my feeling is that the European market is perhaps no longer focused on large engined super powerful cars. The cost of ownership, expensive tyres, taxation, plus increasingly enforced speed limits is also reducing the resale values of such cars on the second hand market.

As for me I would not want a car that had more than 250 hp for reasons of taxation and I have no use for a car that goes from zero to no licence in 4.6 seconds. In fact, even though I may have once had the skills and reflexes to control such a beast I know I no longer have them. These days a 4 cylinder turbo that has around 200 HP is probably more than enough but even with that limitation I want sporty handling good looking car at an affordable price.

Yes, the engine should not to be too big. Greta fans will change the world. They should offer this car with the PlusSix and the coming PlusFour engine, if possible as a hybrid, too. There is a market gap for a not aggressive looking and really elegant sports coupé. Add many bespoke options for the interior and it will sell well.
