Left my Morgan out in the wind and rain.

I was well impressed because it didn’t let water in. That’s a new one for me with all the Mogs I’ve owned.

However I noticed the Mohair hood is damp inside in certain areas mostly around the stitching but some patches where water has maybe sat.

This is a new one on me but should this happen or do I need to waterproof it?

Mine leaks around the stitching so I waterproof just along the stitching occasionally.

This is interesting, what is used to waterproof the mohair?

Renovo Hood Cleaner and shampoo and then apply Renovo Ultra Proofer readily available from Woolies Cleaner Ultra proofer
They do a reviver in the different colours if you need them too.

I do the seams once a year with a product for tent waterproofing. In the past I've used a candle....just rubbed it along the line and wiped off the excess. It worked perfectly.

Thx guys. I’ve ordered me some proofer.

Bit too late for my stains though

The watermarks inside respond well to soft top cleaner and a nail brush, but being a contortionist makes it easier.
