Hi, I am looking to fit a Radio Head Unit, Aerial & Speakers to my newly acquired 2011 Morgan Plus 4 and would welcome any advice as I am new to the marque, albeit not new to classic cars etc!
Am conscious there is a blanking plate in the heater box for the head unit and what appears to be hollows in the side footwell carpets for speakers? Am really concerned with the mounting of the aerial which I bought from Rutters as I understand you really need to get this right first time.
Cheers,
John

There will be two multiway connectors behind the blanking panel John. One for power and the other for pre-wired speakers. The front footwell speaker cables are colour coded black/red and black for r/h and black/white and black for l/h. These terminate in different size spade connectors to avoid polarity issues. Later models (2014 on) had provision for rear speakers as well, probably a left over from the four seater option. Its not clear if earlier models had such though.

ETA: If you buy a DAB/FM radio it will have two aerial connections. Active splitters are available to allow the standard FM telescopic whip to work with the DAB aerial input. These require power either from radio itself or more likely an external ignition switched +12 volt feed. The radio hookup loom usually has a redundant electric aerial feed option (yellow cable from memory) that can be used.

Make sure you get a radio remote control ready.
