Heard on Radio 4 last words about the passing of this remarkable lady Joy Rainey.
Had the pleasure of meeting her at Rotary Club Prescot Hill Climb.
Joy took me up the hill in her specially adapted McLaren.
Bought her book about the tour of USA in her curved dash Oldsmobile.
Her problems never stopped her competing.Joy started hillclimbs in her father’s Morgan 3 wheeler.
More about joy on pistonheads.

That is very sad news. Met her many times at Prescott, where she will be sadly missed.

The piece on Radio 4 is worth a listen and summarises her many achievements in motor sport.

RIP Joy

Yes, sad to hear of her passing.... Interesting and inspirational woman... We'll miss her presence in the Hillclimb paddocks.

RIP

K

She'll certainly be missed at Prescott!
